Kathryn Abajian was born in southern California where she spent her childhood and youth. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and Art at Brigham Young University and her Master’s Degree in English, Composition Studies at San Francisco State University. She presently teaches writing and literature in the San Francisco bay area where she has lived since the early 1970s.
